Pre-k/Explorers
The teachers in the Pre-K/Explorers Class allow time for both child-directed and teacher-directed activities. The experience our students gain in both social and academic skills facilitates their smooth transition to kindergarten. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the children are given free choice time to explore the thematic stations within our three rooms. Fridays are more “pre-academic” with the children having “jobs” to complete relating to the theme they are learning about. Each quarter we explore different learning areas: Literacy, Math and Science. Learning outside the classroom is also a part of the Pre-K/Explorers curriculum, which includes fun and educational field trips. Some field trips that we’ve attended include:

-airport
-hardware store
-grocery store
