Planning is underway and we’re looking for parent volunteers to join the Benson Hill board. The board is a great way to get involved in the school, get to know our teachers and other preschool families better and make a difference in our school.

Look for more detailed information in your school mailbox at the beginning of February. We will also post a board sign-up sheet on the preschool entrance. Don’t be shy – get your name on the sheet and join us on the board!

CLEANING NIGHT CANCELLED – January 18, 2012

Due to the snow storm, cleaning night is cancelled for tonight, January 18, 2012. Cleaning night has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Please plan to be at the school at 7pm and stay until 9pm or until all cleaning tasks have been completed.

Wednesday January 18, 2012 is the next class cleaning night. This cleaning night is sponsored by the Thursday 2′s class but anyone from the other classes is free to participate. Please arrive at BHCP at 7pm and plan to stay until 9pm or until cleaning duties are completed.

The next cleaning night is Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Sponsored by the Toddler class.

Preschool is off to a great start!

The first week of preschool at Benson Hill went wonderfully! The Children (and Parents) had a good time meeting their new teachers and learning about their classrooms. It is so fun to be back in the school routine, making new friends, learning new things and enjoying all that Benson Hill has to offer.

Parent Only Meetings are scheduled for next week, September 6th, 7th or 8th from 6:30 to 9:00pm. Each class will meet independently in their classrooms and with their teacher. Classroom duties, class jobs, and class specific information will be discussed. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the other parents in your child’s class and have any questions answered that you may have.

Toddlers class meets September 6th 6:30-9

Wednesday 2′s class meets September 7th 6:30-9

Thursday 2′s meets September 8th 6:30-9

Threes class meets September 8th 6:30-9

Pre-k/Explorers meets September 7th 6:30-9

Fall Orientation is August 30th for all new and returning families

Fall Orientation is coming up on August 30th from 7-8:30pm. This is an adult only event where enrolled families get to learn what Benson Hill Co-op is all about. We are experimenting with a new format so this will be a refreshing orientation even for the families who have been with the program for years. Remember to bring along your completed registration packets (these can be found under Enrollment) and checkbook for your tuition payment.
